Mometamax Otic Suspension

Mometamax Otic Suspension by Merck treats inflammation and bacterial infections in the ear of dogs. It is a medication that combines a broad-spectrum antibiotic, a strong corticosteroid and an anti-fungal agent. The antibiotic kills or stops the growth of bacteria, the anti-fungal kills or slows the growth of fungi and yeast, and the corticosteroids are used to treat inflammation.

Give as directed by your veterinarian. Shake well before use. The ear should be clean and dry before use. Amount of drops needed will be determined by your veterinarian. 

Prescription Drug Policy:

Prescriptions CAN NOT be shipped to North Carolina, Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:
 

• The original prescription may be mailed to:

• A licensed veterinarian may fax the Rx to 615-370-8502.
  The fax must originate from the veterinarian's office.
• A licensed veterinarian can call & leave a voicemail with your prescription information with our pharmacy at 615-277-5602.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by, or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Avoid your pet's eyes, nose, and mouth. 

Gentamicin sulfate, USP equivalent to 3 mg gentamicin base; mometasone furoate monohydrate equivalent to 1 mg mometasone; and 10 mg clotrimazole, USP in a mineral oil-based system containing a plasticized hydrocarbon gel.
